Most issues will be found in the beginning of a script and examples and suggestions will be given and then it up to the writer to apply those suggestions to the remainder of the script. Story notes, comments and suggestions will be made throughout the script where needed. Depending on the space the reader will write final comments and suggestions at the end of the script or in an email.
Notes are intended to help the writer by giving actionable suggestions for improvement. Blue Pen believes it would be a disservice to our clients to hold back from pointing out errors, flaws or areas that could use improvement in a script. Readers are encouraged to give suggestions or ideas about a script because even if the writer doesn't like it, any idea can spark imagination and make a writer look at their script in a new light. However, it is up to the writer to decide whether or not to implement or use the feedback given to them.
Turnaround time for in-line notes is expected to be 72 hours or less. You will be notified if it will take longer and given the option of a refund if you choose not to go forward with the service.
In most cases a reader will write questions in order to spark the writer's imagination or help the writer dig into a character or plot, no actual response is needed.
Please Note- Blue Pen does not make any guarantees of contest placement or promise any person or entity will purchase your script. Scriptwriting is an art and therefore is subjective.
No refunds will be issued once the reader has started notes.
